In January 2009 I will begin offering up fun crafts, beaded jewelry, homemade baby items, sewed crafts, useful 'green' items, and much more!! Profits will go to the March of Dimes, March for Babies Campaign or The Children's Miracle Network. I'm still researching and working out those details. I think it's the CMN that helps to fund the equipment and such in the NICU at certain hospitals (like The Medical Center here in Columbus, Ga). Meaning that my boys directly benefited from the money raised through CMN. The March of Dimes money goes to help research and prevent premature births (I THINK). I'm not sure if the hospitals get any of the money or not... That's why I'm still researching this. Prematurity in the case of my boys was an unavoidable given, and the CMN allowed the hospital to take care of them with state of the art equipment... If you have any insight regarding these two great organizations, please email me or leave a comment.
I'll set a goal (I'm thinking $500-$1000) and until I reach that goal 100% of the profit generated will go towards that goal; even if it takes years to reach, I'm dedicated! (but hopefully it won't!!) Once the goal is reached, 25% will continue to go to the charity chosen, the remainder help ensure longevity towards the cause by helping to fund future projects.
I'm currently 'stocking the shelves' so to speak. If you have something HANDMADE that you would like to donate, please email me at Craft4aCause@yahoo.com. If you have any patterns, ideas, or instructions for something crafty and useful that you would like to share for me to make, please email me those as well. I'll advertise for you if you do!! = )
More to come soon! Please spread the word to help me raise money for a great charity that does so much to help babies!

Hi!
I'm Lindsay and I am "sister-in-law" so-to-speak, of Jen Jordan with triplets Bo, Anna, and Alex. She posted a blog about your Crafting4aCause and I decided to check it out!
I am not sure if anyone has ever introduced you to Etsy.com, but it is a WONDERFUL online handmade shop. There are TONS of sellers on Etsy and they advertise their handmade/mostly handmade products and sell them straight from the site. Jen buys things off of there every so often and I have recently purchased some things on there for my sister who is expecting in less than 6 weeks.
This could be a wonderful way to advertise your items as well as with your blog. People can even contact you to ask about custom orders if they need different sizes/colors/amounts of what you are offering.
I bet you could reach your goal in a year or less if you utilize both this blog and the Etsy website.
I just thought I'd introduce myself and pass along the info. I'll be sure to check back here for what kind of things you are making and possibly making some purchases for my sister and my soon-to-come niece.
Lindsay
p.s. by "sister-in-law" to Jen, i mean that I have been dating her brother for an extended time and we plan to be married one day when we're out of school and can afford to mostly pay for our own wedding.
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR MISSION!!
Hi! Nice to meet you Lindsay! Jen actually introduced me to Esty. It is WONDERFUL! I try to buy from Etsy or HyenaCart whenever possible. They're great! Thank you so much! I checked into selling on Etsy, and it's sort of like ebay in that you're charged listing fees and percentages of final selling prices. So, it would cause me to either take away from the CMN OR raise the prices. I'd rather NOT have to do that! Hopefully, I'll be able to build enough traffic through sweet people like you that come upon the blog through sweet people like Jen's blog! But if not, that is a great alternative!
Take care and congrats on becoming an Aunt! I'm going to be posting some 'baby' itmes soon!!
Jessica
